Thank goodness for Barry scrap yard, as most of the locomotives in this gallery owe their existence to Dai Woodham & teams of dedicated people who have turned them from rusting hulks, in to what you see now!.

BR Standard Class 5MT 73096 storms away from Ropley on the Mid Hants Railway with a demonstration freight. Formed of wagons restored by the wagon group February 27 2011
LNER A1 Class 60163 powers The Valentine Day Special through Addlestone on 14 February 2009. This was her first visit South of the Thames & just days before she was named "Tornado".
34007 "Wadebridge" seen heading for Ropley on the Mid Hants  complete with the patron saint headboard 26 April 2009.
Stanier Black Five 45379 works the Santa special on the Mid Hants December 2010.
Nice to see the train was packed with familes enjoying the festive fun.
GWR Pannier Tank 3650 looks stunning, outside the train shed at Didcot railway centre 13 July 2009. The restoration took Twenty years, but full credit to all involved, it was worth the wait.
BR Standard 5MT 73096 Piston rod distorted, after the cylinder exploded!! The cause the threaded insert coming loose top right Ouch.
GWR 4920 Dumbleton Hall stands at Buckfastleigh on the South Devon railway 17 August 2010. This locomotve built at Swindon 1929 & withdrawn from service in 1965, ended up at Barry scrapyard & departed for presevation in 1976. At the time of this photograph she is awaiting boiler repairs.
GWR 2251 Class 3205 built Swindon 1930, she is the sole survivor of 118 made.
Seen here backing on to her train at Buckfastleigh 17 August 2010 after a major overhaul.
